navya maitri konda

Navya Maitri Konda brings a unique, interdisciplinary vantage point as a Bharatanatyam performer, ecosystem-builder, and product strategist. A California native, she trained under Deepa Mahadevan and later immersed herself in Chennai, training under Shweta Prachande and taking abhinaya masterclasses under Priyadarsini Govind. Her solo performances span 10 countries (notably at Narada Gana Sabha and four Indian embassies); she has earned acclaim in reviews by Marina Harss (critic for The New York Times) and Eva Moon (contributor to The Huffington Post).

Beyond the stage, she founded Teen Press Pass, an initiative through SV Creates that enabled 350+ youth to engage in arts experiences and journalism. Under mentorship of Nobel Laureate Paul Milgrom, she researched the market design of Silicon Valley’s art grant landscape. She is a California Center for Cultural Innovation grantee. Her reviews of artistic productions appear in platforms including Narthaki.

A Stanford graduate, her perspective on sustainable creative empowerment is grounded in fieldwork augmenting small business transformation and product management experience. Notably, she designed the initial prototype for Stanford SEED Transformation Network, which now benefits small businesses across Africa and South Asia. She currently serves on Capital One’s ACES (Associate Experience, Chief of Staff, and Enterprise Product Experience Strategy).

Speaking Dance: Articulating Your Artistic Story

Workshop

Speaking Dance seeks to empower artists to articulate the vision behind their work—whether presenting their own or another’s choreography. Designed as a practical supplement rather than a choreographic guide, the workshop centers around storytelling and presentation strategy, offering frameworks and optional generative AI tools to support the creative process. From grant proposals to elevator pitches to audience talks and beyond, Speaking Dance equips artists to remain deeply rooted in their unique artistic intent, while presenting their narratives with clarity and confidence.
